Sep 15, 2008 (newstodate): The Aviation Engineering Center at Kazakhstan's Almaty International Airport is reporting strong progress in its business development.
The Center is currently certified to perform C-checks on Boeing 757,Airbus A310 and Boeing 737 aircraft, having succesfully completed 25 C-checks on aircraft from carriers including UTAir, KD Avia, S7 Airlines, and Air One.
The center plans to expand its portfolio of certificates before the end of this year, adding Airbus A318, A319, A320 and A321 as well.
On the table are plans for construction of a new hangar to accomodate two A321-size aircraft.
A third hangar is also being drafted to allow for base maintenance of Boeing 747 aircraft.
