Sep 23, 2008 (newstodate): To tap increasing market potentials, SAS Cargo will strengthen its own sales representation in Central and Northern Germany.
SAS Cargo will locate its German sales office in Hamburg, close to the main customers and within easy reach of its Copenhagen air cargo hub, and call center and sales staff from Munich, Stuttgart, Dusseldorf and Frankfurt will be transferred to Hamburg.
A German cargo GSA is soon to be appointed to sell SAS Cargo's capacity on routes from Munich and Stuttgart, and the company aims at having its new German sales organization in place before the end of this year.
-We want to intensify our focus on North Germany, where our products are most competitive in terms of transit- and lead-times. We have approximately 50 direct flights from Germany every day as well as daily airline trucking connections between Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Hamburg and Scandinavia, says Nils Pries-Knudsen, SAS Cargo VP Global Sales
