Sep 23, 2008 (newstodate): Russia's Astrakhan Narimanovo Airport saw its cargo volumes up by 10.9 percent during the first eight months of 2008.
A total of 379 tonnes of cargo was handled by the airport, including 21 tonnes of international cargo, up 220 percent, and 358 tonnes of domestic cargo, increasing 7.7 percent, y-o-y.
In august, however, total cargo volumes dropped 1.1 percent to 55 tonnes, including only one tonne of internaitonal cargo, down 13.7 percent, and domestic cargo, down one percent to 54 tonnes.
The airport has one 2,500 m runway.
