Sep 3, 2008 (newstodate): The regional government of Russia's Kamchatka Krai is mulling plans for tying up 14 regional airports within a unified system.
Exempt from the planned consolidation will be Kamchatka's main airport, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Airport that provides a network of domestic flight connections by carriers lincluding Aeroflot, Dalavia, S7 and other Russian carriers.
The plans aim at rescuing the airport system of Kamchatka that is suffering from inadequate financing.
