Sep 10, 2008 (newstodate): Sweden's LFV is currently in talks with "an external party" over the contruction of a new Perishables Center at Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
Negotiations are progressing, and a decision to launch the project may be made later this autumn already, says an LFV spokesman.
Much preparatory work, including architectural drawings, has alrady been done, so when the parties have agreed on the project it could be started right away, with completion in 2009.
The issue of a BIP at Stockholm Arlanda Airport would be solved in the same process, as part of the comprehensive project.
The lack of a fully-licensed BIP at the airport forced Icelandair Cargo to locate its Swedish cargo flights to Norrkoping since October 10, 2007 as Arlanda proved unable to handle the imports of Icelandic horses carried on the freighters.
