Sep 24, 2008 (newstodate): A new Russian airline, Nordwind Airlines, has emerged with plans to start operations from Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport under the slogan "Red and Strong".
The carrier will build a fleet comprising four Bo0eing 757-200ER aircraft.
The first aicraft has been delivered, the second will follow in December, and the third in December, 2008, with the fourth to arrive by the end of March, 2009.
The carrier will operate as a charter airline in the passenger and cargo business with flights from Moscow to Europe, Turkey, Egypt, Tunisia, India, and the United Arab Emirates.
Behind Nordwind Airlines are Pegas-Turistik travel operator and Turkey's Pegasus.
