Sep 23, 2008 (newstodate): Montenegro's government is planning for a change in ownership stucture of the national airline, Montenegro Airlines.
The proposed change by October 1, 2008, from liability company into joint stock company will allow for sale of five percent of the stock, with plans for a later capital increase to allow an investor to acquire up to 30 percent of the shares in the airline.
Behind the reconstruction of the ownerhsip base is the desire to find a suitable strategic partner for Montenegro Airlines to secure its continued development and expansion.
Montenegro Airlines, based at Podgorica Airport, Montenegro, is buildling a fleet of Embraer aircraft, leased and owned, and two Fokker 10 aircraft.
