Sep 22, 2008 (newstodate): Lithuania's Vilnius International Airport is expanding its aircraft handling capacity.
During this summer, the airport has added three more aircraft parking stands and extended the apron area.
Vilnius International Airport now has a total of 29 aircraft parking stands capable of handling aircraft up to the size of Boeing 737, and six more will follow soon at the new passenger terminal.
Of the currently 29 aircraft parking stands, four are also capable of handling aircraft up to the size of Boeing 757, and construction of still more aircraft parking stands are included in the airport's plans.
