Sep 4, 2008 (newstodate): The Latvian freight forwarder Spedair expects growth and sustained development after the change in its ownership.
New owner with 90 percent of the stake is Sweden's GreenCarrier International that bought out two of the company's former owners.
-No big change in our everyday life. The company name remains the same, all staff will stay at their positions but we do look forward to employ new staff in sales and oceanfreight, especially, says Inga Brasla, Spedair managing director, board member and owner of the remaining stake in the company.
-We have big plans to develop oceanfreight shipments, and GreenCarrier International will bring in valuable experience in this field.
-Airfreight has been our main business for years, and I do see potentials of increasing this business as well, also due to the enhanced network we have gained through this deal, says Ms Brasla.
