Sep 19, 2008 (newstodate): Latvia's government has aired its interest in acquiring the SAS Group's stake in the Latvian carrier, airBaltic.
SAS currently owns 47.2 percent of the carrier and has sought to increase this share to full ownership, which was however denied by other owners.
The Latvian state already holds 52.6 percent of the shares in the airline.
