Sep 18, 2008 (newstodate): The Icelandair Group-subsidiary Air Iceland plans to launch a new route between Iceland and Greenland from next summer's schedule.
Air Iceland will operate a twice-weekly flight from Keflavik Airport to Greenland's Ilulissat, using a Dash 8 aircraft.
Already on Air Iceland's network are routes from Keflavik to Nerlerit Inaat, Kulusuk, Narsarsuaq and Nuuk in Greenland as well as routes to the Faroe Islands.
The carrier's fleet comprises two Bombardier Dash 8 Q100 and six Fokker 50 aircraft.
