Sep 2, 2008 (newstodate): 30 percent of Finland's IATA export cargo was destined for the four Chinese destinations on the CASS Top-30 destination list in July, 2008.
Topping the CASS Finland Top-30 list was Shanghai with 433 tonnes, increasing 39.9 percent, y-o-y.
#2 on the list with 400 tonnes, Beijing increased only 3.9 percent.
No 4 on the list, Hong Kong generated 186 tonnes, rising 25.4 percent, while Suzhou - No 5 - increased 43.3 percent to 111 tonnes of IATA cargo from Finland.
Despite the significant increases in volumes, the picture was less rosy as to average airline selling prices in July.
Thus, rates to Shanghai dropped 20.8 percent to 0.57 USD per kilo, rates to Beijing fell 33.3 percent to 0.64 USD, rates to Hong Kong were also down 2.8 percent to 0.63 USD, while rates to Suzhou did increase, rising 5.6 percent to 1.06 USD per kilo.
