Sep 15, 2008 (newstodate): The new Russian low-cost carrier, to be set up from January, 2009, by the Russian investment group, A1 Group, will be named Avianova.
The carrier, to be headed by Viva Macau's Andrews Paine, will reportedly be based on a cooperation with WIZZ Air's aircraft fleet, and the new carrier is planned to have a fleet of seven to 10 Airbus A320 aircraft in its start-up phase.
Avianova will be based at Moscow Domodedovo Airport.
