The country's civil aviation authority has reportedly found that privatisation is urgently needed to save the aiport from further decay and decrease in efficiency.
The airport has reporedly not had any regular flights since 2001 and has accumulated significant debts.
Stepanavan Airport serving the city of Stepanavan and the province of Lori has a 1,998 m asphal-covered runway, and hopes are that the EBRD wil support its future modernisation.
