Aug 14, 2008 (newstodate): Skyport, Prague Ruzyne Airport's largest cargo terminal, handled a total of 19,000 tonnes of cargo during the first half of 2008.
This was an increase by seven percent, and expectations for full-year growth are spurred by intake of new customers and introduction of enhanced services.
Skyport is now implementing CargoSpot for its operations, with cut-over scheduled for September 15, 2008.
Skyport has signed a contract with new customer Luxair that started operations from Luxembourg to Prague in August, 2008, and a new contract was signed with Asiana, where trucking has a large potential.
Skyport has also extended its independent Road Feeder Services, and a new schedule valid from August 1 will add more frequencies and new destinations including Vienna, Frankfurt Hahn and Warsaw.
