Aug 7, 2008 (newstodate): A new air services agreement has been signed by Israel and Ukraine, allowing for a significant increase in flight volumes.
Till now, only El Al and Aerosvit Airlines have been permitted to operate between the two countries, but the new agreement opens up for traffic by other carriers from the two countries.
Against only 16 weekly flights permitted under the existing agreement, Israeli and Ukrainian carriers may operate up to 22 weekly flights fromt summer 2009, increasing to 28 in 2010.
