Aug 12, 2008 (newstodate): Following Singapore Airlines and Emirates, Australian carrier Qantas will become the third airline to introduce the Airbus A380 in commercial traffic.
On September 19, 2008, the carrier plans to receive its first of 20 A380 ordered.
The aircraft will be operated on the route between Melbourne and Los Angeles.
By the end of the year, Qantas will have three A380 aircraft, adding flights to London via Singapore from early spring, 2009.
