Aug 28, 2008 (newstodate): After a tender process, the Swedish Swedavia has emerged as the winner to land a contract with the Thai organistion Aerothai that provides air traffic control and aeronautical communication services for airline operations.
Under the contract, Swedavia will develop the specification of a new air traffic management system for the control centre in Bangkok and the formulation of an operative concept for air traffic management in Thailand.
Aerothai requires a modern air traffic management system to be implemented in 2012.
The contract with Aerothai was signed at the end of August, and work is expected to begin by the end of September and expected to last one year.
