Aug 28, 2008 (newstodate): Russia's Kaluga Grabtsevo Airport, in the Kaluga region, will be reconstructed to allow for more and heavier traffic.
Equipped with a 2,200 m runway, the airport is currently served only by small regional aircraft.
As the airport is transformed from state to regional ownership, the region's government plans to invest in a major upgrading of the infrastructure, to allow for scheduled passenger and cargo traffic from 2010.
