Aug 4, 2008 (newstodate): Russia's first low-cost carrier, Sky Express is expecting to receive its 10th Boeing 737 aircraft before the middle of August, 2008.
The latest aircraft, to be delivered on a lease agreement with Aviation Capital Group, is now being painted by Tarom in Romania prior to its delivery at Kaliningrad, Russia.
The carrier currently operates a network comprising 11 destinations, but plans to launch several daily services from Moscow Vnukovo Airport to Volgograd, Ufa and Krasnodar from this year's Q4 have now been postponed till 2009.
-We will optimise our route network on Samara and Kazan and increase frequencies to Sochi, Kaliningrad, Yekaterinburg along with introducing a string of extra premium customer services, choice of seat in the cabin, offers of taxi rides and car rentals from airports we serve, says Vitaly Korenyugin, Sky Express spokesman.
