Aug 21, 2008 (newstodate): Approval of the final version of a masterplan for Russia's Krasnoyarsk Airport, long over-due, is still drawing out.
Originally expected by the end of 2007, or early 2008, final government approval has still not been obtained.
-The process of preparation becomes longer and longer. I did not expect that it can take so much time, says a source centrally placed in the work.
-This year we will start the final stage of project documentation and finalise it by the end of next year. Also we are now seeking investors to the projects, as there is a possibility to buy shares in the airport and participate in financing and management of the project, he says.
The airport estimates its tonnage to grow to 199,000 in 2008, 259,000 in 2009 and 336,000 tonnes by 2010, ending up at 645,000 tonnes in 2015, the end of the current prognosis period.
