Aug 26, 2008 (newstodate): Latvia's Liepaja Airport will see the opening of its first route to Russia on August 26, 2008.
New airline at the airport, 210 km west of Riga, is Russia's Atlant-Soyuz that will operate between Moscow and Liepaja three times weekly with Embraer 120 aircraft.
The airline says it will increase frequency as soon as warranted by trafic loads on the new route.
