Aug 19, 2008 (newstodate): Express companies, or integrators, dominate the world's freighter fleet.
Of the total of 1,696 freighters included in the latest Airbus Global Market Forecast, 50 percent are operated or controlled by only four integrators.
About 300 aircraft are operated by combination carriers, and some 50 are controlled by ACMI providers.
The balance of the fleet is operated by specialised freight companies, many of whom have less than five aircraft, according to the GMF.
