Aug 19, 2008 (newstodate): The Icelandic charer carrier Primera Air plans to open a new operational base at Billund Airport, Denmark.
The carrier will station two Boeing 737-800 aircraft at Billund Airport for operations for Danish charter companies and tour operators, managed by Primera Air Scandinavia, headed by Lars Hindum as managing director.
Primera Air operates a fleet comprising four Boeing 737-800 and three MD-80 aircraft, with two additional 737-800 aircraft to be added to the fleet in February and March, 2009, respectively.
The carrier further plans to acquire two more Boeing 737-800 aircraft during 2009 and 2010.
