Aug 15, 2008 (newstodate): In June, 2008, Finnair Cargo maintained its undisputed position as the leading cargo carrier in Finland's IATA export cargo market.
The carrier lifted a total of 1,576 tonnes of cargo exports from Finland, corresponding to a market share at 42.5 percent.
Second came Lufthansa Cargo with 465 tonnes, and a market share at 12.5 percent, followed by SAS with 337 tonnes and 9.1 percent of the market.
Fourth came KLM Cargo with 322 tonnes and a 8.7 share of the market, followed by Cargolux with 217 tonnes and 5.9 percent of the market.
But while Finnair Cargo kept almost unchanged with a 0.2 percent y-o-y increase in volumes, Lufthansa and SAS both lost tonnages, down 15.4 and 11.2 percent, respectively.
KLM Cargo gained ground, rising 13.2 percent y-o-y, while Cargolux declined 22.9 percent.
Singapore Airlines Cargo, ranked 8th, also lost volumes, down 17.4 percent y-o-y to 112 tonnes.
