Aug 7, 2008 (newstodate): In July, Estonia's Tallinn Airport continued its impressive growth in cargo volumes.
The airport handled a total of 3,431 tonnes of cargo, up 218.1 percent, y-o-y, excluding direct transit cargo.
For January-July the totals reached 24,134 tonnes of cargo, up 211.9 percent, y-o-y.
Behind the sustained growth in cargo volumes are Chinese exports to Russia via the Baltic airports, where Tallinn Airport maintains a leading position.
