Aug 11, 2008 (newstodate): Bulgaria's Ministry of Transportation has announced plans for re-opening the regional Turgovishte Bukhovsti Airport within two years.
The airport, in northern Bulgaria, has been decommisioned for more than ten years, requiring a full reconstruction and modernisation before returning to operations.
Plans are to rebuild the airport for use by charter operators and cargo airlines.
