Aug 15, 2008 (newstodate): Plans for several years for direct non-stop Boeing 747 flights by Baltia Air Lines between New York JFK and St Petersburg seem to be resurfacing again in 2008.
The company has been airing its intentions since 1989, and received its operational license in 1991.
The license was, however, revoked by the authorities few years later as the company did not have the financial background in order.
But Air Baltia now says flights will start from the end of this year, with flights from New York to Moscow, Kiev, Minsk, Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn to be added from 2009.
