Aug 8, 2008 (newstodate): Azerbaijan Airlines has signed a contract with Boeing for delivery of of two Boeing 737-900ER and two 767-300ER aircraft.
One of the Boeing 767 aircraft is, however, replacing one of three Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft ordered in February 2003, and this is also the first Dreamliner order cancellation at Boeing.
Azerbaijan Airlines, based at Baku and the first CIS airline to order the Dreamliner, now has a total of eight Boeing aircraft on order, including four 737-900ER, two Boeing 787-8 and two 767-300ER aircraft.
