Aug 12, 2008 (newstodate): Aeroflot Cargo has signed a prestigeous order with Apple for transportation of the iPhone from production sites at Hong Kong into Frankfurt Hahn.
In cooperation with Kuehne+Nagel as logistics provider in the European markets, Aeroflot Cargo will take some 20-25 tonnes of iPhones on each of its currently four weekly MD-11F flights from Hong Kong, adding a fifth frequency on the route from August 25, 2008.
Together, Aeroflot Cargo and K+N will meet a range of special customers requirements by Apple, including special packing of shipments, tracking and tracing, GPS surveillance, and a second driver on trucks during road transportation
