Jun 5, 2008 (newstodate): Ukraines's Vinnitsa Airport has been certified to accomodate international air traffic.
The airport has three runways, two of which are dedicated to military use, while the third, 2,500 m long, has been opened for commercial traffic.
Vinnitsa Airport is among the 24 airports that have now been designated for return to state ownership, under which the state will take ownership of and invest in airport runways, basic infrastructure, security, economics and management, while all passenger- and traffic-related issues including terminals may rest with private or non-state owners.
