Jun 6, 2008 (newstodate): Singapore's Chanqi International Airport has signed an agreement with Russia's Bazovy Element to jointly participate in the tender for reconstruction and management of St Petersburg's Pulkovo Airport.
The tender is soon to open, following a road show in London in May 2008 presenting the plans to construction and aviation business companies, investors and airport operators.
At stake is a 30-year concession to manage and operate the airport, and the tender is expected to close in April, 2009, with a contract to be signed by the end of July, 2009.
In the development plans are the reconstruction of one of the airport's two runways and the building of a new terminal by 2025.
