Jun 3, 2008 (newstodate): SAS Cargo refutes to comment on reports of sales negotiations concerning its cargo handling subsidiary Spirit with Belgian handling company Aviapartner.
-We prefer to restrain ourselves to our earlier information confirming that the Spirit sales process is in its initial phase, says Mette Vaabengaard, SAS Cargo communications manager.
-As stated before, the sale of Spirit will be split into two stages, with the first stage comprising the sale of a minority share to a selected partner, to be followed in a second stage by a full take-over if the process advances satisfactorily.
-We expect a clarification of the process to be reached by the autumn, says Ms Vaabengaard.
