Jun 6, 2008 (newstodate): The Romanian LCC Blue Air has signed a contract with Boeing for delivery of three Boeing 737-900 aircraft.
This follows on an order earlier this year for delivery of two Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Blue Air, based at Bucharest Baneasa Airport and starting operations in 2004 as the country's first LCC, currently operates five 737-300, -400 and -500 aircraft and plans to introduce two leased 737-800 aircraft in July and December 2008, adding one more early in 2009.
