Jun 10, 2008 (newstodate): By September, 2008, a new cargo airline will start operations in Russia.
Private investors, yet undisclosed, will launch Skynet Cargo, to be based at one of Moscow's main airports and aiming at both the Russian domestic and international markets.
The carrier is now seeking acquisition of up to four Boeing 757-200 aircraft - either freighters or passenger aircraft for conversion into freighter aircraft.
Despite the similarity in name, the new cargo airline has no connection to the earlier airline, Skynet Airlines that operated between Moscow and Shannon.
