Jun 2, 2008 (newstodate): Four bidders filed their initial offers in the public tender for concession of the airports in the Republic of Macedonia.
The four companies that have thus secured their pre-qualification are Vienna Airport, Austria, TAV, Turkey, Hochtief, Germany, and EGIS, France/Great Britain.
The tender commission will now closely examine the individual bids, after which the preferred companies will be invited to file their offers.
In the next phase of the tender process will follow the final decision on which company will land the 20-years concession to operate the airports at Skopje and Ohrid, as well as the new cargo airport at Stip.
