Jun 18, 2008 (newstodate): The Lithuanian carrier Aviavilsa is the single largest cargo airline at Lithuania's Vilnius Airport.
In May, 2008, Aviavilsa held 27.6 percent of the airport's cargo and mail volumes, followed by flyLAL with 27.0 percent, and Latvia's airBaltic with 23.5 percent.
The three carrier generated a total of 128, 126, and 110 tonnes, respectively.
Aviavilsa, operating for DHL/SAS Cargo between Lithuania and Copenhagen Airport, carried 49 tonnes of export and 79 tonnes of import cargo, while flyLAL carried 25 tonnes of export and 49 tonnes of import cargo, and airBaltic 13 tonnes of export and 43 tonnes of export cargo.
In addition, flyLAL carried 52 tonnes, and airBaltic 54 tonnes of mail to and from Vilnius in May, 2008.
