Jun 27, 2008 (newstodate): Latvia is keen to see an expansion of the air traffic between Ukraine and Latvia.
During the Latvian president's current visit to Ukraine, the Latvian minister of communication has met with his Ukrainean counterpart to discuss the status of air services between the two countries.
Latvian carriers are currently licensed to perform flights, provided by airBaltic, from Riga to Kiev, Odessa and Simferopol, but Latvia wants more destinations to be opened, including Dnepropetrovsk, Donets, Kharkov and Lvov.
Latvia also wants to lift capacity on the route between Riga and Kiev.
