Jun 27, 2008 (newstodate): To cut costs amidst soaring fuel prices, Icelandair will reduce its staff by 240 people and adjust flight schedules from this winter's program.
The pay-offs will include 88 pilots and 133 cabin crew.
The carrier will also reduce its winter schedule by 14 percent, exctending the seasonal break on the route between Reykjavik and Minneapolis, and cut frequency on the route to Berlin.
