Jun 9, 2008 (newstodate): Montenegro Airlines has received its first Embraer 195 aircraft.
The aircraft is acquired on an eight-year lease arrangement with GECAS, and the contract covers two Embraer 195 aircraft, with the second to be delivered in May, 2009.
The Embraer aircraft will enable the carrier, based at Podgorica Airport, to enter new markets, primarily Russia, the UK and Scandinavia.
The new aircraft will allow Montenegro Airlines, the first Balkan Embraer 195 operator, to launch its new route to London Gatwick from June, 2008.
