Jun 23, 2008 (newstodate): Boeing has announced the successful completion of the power-on tests on the 787 Dreamliner.
The Power On sequence began in early June with a series of pretest continuity checks to verify that the wiring installed in the airplane had been connected properly.
The company remains confident that the Dreamliner will perform its launch flight in this year's Q4, with first deliveries to follow from Q3, 2009.
58 customers have so far placed orders for delivery of almost 900 aircraft.
The program is, however, delayed since the original plan for deliveries to start from May this year.
