Jun 26, 2008 (newstodate): The Airbus A380 is increasingly becoming a familiar sight at some of the world's international airports from this autumn.
From August 1, 2008, Emirates plans to launch its first A380 route between Dubai and New York JFK Airport, and from December 1, 2008, Emirates will also operate the A380 on the route between Dubai and London, adding flights between Dubai and Sydney from February 1, 2009.
This will be followed, from October 20, 2008, by Qantas that will introduce its first A380 on the route between Sydney and Los Angeles, USA.
First to introduce the A380 in commercial service, Singapore Airlines started operations from Singapore to Sydney on October 28, 2007, adding A380 flights from Singapore to London on March 18, 2008, and from Singapore to Tokyo on May 20,2008.
