May 19, 2008 (newstodate): The Ukrainean carrier South Airlines, based at Odessa, has added two SAAB 340 aircraft to its fleet.
The ex-Carpat Air aircraft will be used to replace two AN-24 aircraft on the carrier's domestic route network.
The carrier is expecting to receive six new AN-148 aircraft that will allow it to expand its route network significantly and phase-out its TU-132 aircraft.
