A delegation sent by the central government will soon visit the airport to assess its status and capabilities in order to set standards for meeting the IACO criteria required.
The Cherkasy city government will invest in the upgrading of the infrastructure to support the airport in its quest for international status.
Only in April 2005, the airport filed for bankruptcy.
