May 21, 2008 (newstodate): THY, Turkish Airlines, is preparing the launch of a large longhaul fleet renewal program in 2008.
The carrier will consider A340-600, Airbus A350 XWB, Boeing 777 and Boeing 787 for its future longhaul services, while number of aircraft is still not frozen.
The carrier currently operates a longhaul aircraft fleet comprising seven A340-300, five A330-200 and three A310-300, and plans to take in two A340 aircraft in 2008, and two Airbus A330 in 2009.
