May 28, 2008 (newstodate): Sukhoi is upbeat about prospects for selling the new SuperJet 100 to domestic and foreign customers.
The company expects to double its current order volume at 73 before the end of the year.
The aircraft will position itself as a replacement for TU-134 and YAK-42 ircraft now operated by many Russian carriers, and will appeal also to foreign operators due to its competitive price and operational cost-efficiency, Sukhoi said at the ILA 2008.
