May 7, 2008 (newstodate): Beginning May 30, the Serbian carrier JAT will launch flights on a route between Nis Constantine the Great Airport and Tivat, Montenegro.
The carrier will operate three weekly rotations with ATR-72 aircraft.
JAT already operates from Nis to Zurich, Switzerland.
The carrier has aired interest in support the development of Nis Constantine the Great Airport that was re-opened with extensive help from Norway in October 12, 2003, after being closed for years following a NATO air strike during the civil war in the 90'ies.
JAT considers Nis to be a suitable alternate airport to Belgrade, and has promised to support the airport's endeavours to attract more foreign operators.
