During this year's first four months, Riga Airport handled a total of 993,524 passengers, 78 percent more Estonia's Tallinn Airport's 558,912 passengers, and 69 percent more than Lithuania's Vilnius Airport's 586,375 passengers.
At Riga Airport, the national carrier airBaltic held 46.4 percent of the market, followed by Ryanair with 26.5 percent of the total volume of passengers.
In 2007, Riga Airport handled a total of 3.16 million passengers, up 26.7 percent y-o-y.
