May 13, 2008 (newstodate): Kazakhstan is planning the reconstruction of the country's Korkyt Ata Airport, at Kyzylorda.
The plans comprise the reconstruction of the airport's runway including airfield lighting systems, as well as modernisation of the airport's other technical infrastructure.
The airport, providing services for the Turgay Basin oil industry, will be reconstructed to accomodate international and cargo flight operations.
