May 9, 2008 (newstodate): In this year's Q1, total air cargo volumes at Germany's Hamburg Airport grew five percent, y-o-y, to 20,144 tonnes.
Half of the volume, or 10,729 tonnes, was trucked cargo, while 8,058 tonnes was transported by air. The remaining 1,357 tonnes was transit cargo.
Total imports increased by 10.6 percent to 9,539 tonnes, and exports were up 6.2 percent to 9,248 tonnes.
During Q1, the airport's total mail volumes increased 1.6 percent to a total of 1,648 tonnes.
